Terms and Conditions

By booking a fishing trip with Valley Fishing Adventures, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.


1. Consent Form and Assumption of Risk

You understand and accept that participating in activities such as fishing, boating, and walking on trail systems involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, weather hazards, equipment malfunctions, and encounters with wildlife. By booking a trip, you voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur, regardless of foreseeability.

Signed and dated Consent Forms are required for all Valley Fishing Adventure charters and activities. Consent Forms will be made available at the location before the scheduled charter. Parents or legal guardians will sign and date Consent Forms for anyone under 18 years of age. Failure to sign and date the Consent Form will result in the cancellation of the charter and no refund will be provided.

2. Release of Liability

You release Valley Fishing Adventures, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from your participation in our activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. This release applies to all activities, including transportation to and from fishing locations.

3. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Valley Fishing Adventures harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) brought by you or a third party due to your participation in our activities or failure to comply with these terms.

4. Medical Treatment

In the event of an emergency, you authorize Valley Fishing Adventures to arrange for medical treatment on your behalf if deemed necessary. You accept full responsibility for all associated costs, including emergency transportation and medical care.

5. Photo and Video Release

By participating in our activities, you consent to the use of any photographs or videos taken during your trip for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to use on our website, social media, and printed materials. If you do not consent to this, you must notify us in writing before your trip.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the trip will receive a 100% refund.
  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior but less than 14 days will receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the trip, as well as no-shows, will result in no refund.

7. Governing Law and Venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska. Any disputes or claims arising from these terms or your participation in our activities shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the State of Alaska.

8. Requirements for Participation

  • Participants must adhere to all safety instructions provided by our guides and staff.
  • All participants, residents 18 or older and non-residents 16 years or older must have a valid Alaska Sport Fishing License. Licenses will be verified at the location before the scheduled charter.
  • Alcohol, marijuana, and illegal substances are prohibited during activities. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the cancellation of the charter and no refund will be provided.

9. Minors

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on their behalf.

10. Equipment and Damage

All equipment provided remains the property of Valley Fishing Adventures. Participants are responsible for returning equipment in good condition and may be charged for damages or losses resulting from misuse or negligence.

11. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Alaskan law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for your trip. We are not responsible for consequential, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from participation in our activities.
